Distills AGENTS.md from 54 KB / 825 lines to 30 KB / 485 lines — same structure, same bullet order, every rule kept.
Method: bullets state the CURRENT contract; fix-history narratives ("0037 run-5 fix…", "was 500/2,000", war stories) compress to the
docs/NNNNpointer that owns them; stale facts die (the machines tombstone is now 2 lines — 0048 made the purge total); the verbatim emergency-deploy command moves to git history + docs/0045 (verified there). New header line states the file's contract.Verification: a fresh-eyes audit child walked old-vs-new statement by statement — 0 invariants lost: every MUST/NEVER, every numeric limit (caps/budgets/TTLs/pins), every recorded Chad-decision survived; 5 code fact-checks passed. It caught five B-class drops (facts an agent would need but I'd compressed away) — all restored in the second commit: the child-status polling contract, the cursor route variant, the bee runbook specifics (container name + its rationale, image, port note), the
ATTACHMENTS_DIR/HARNESS_AUTH_DIRknobs, and the live-check spike env vars (SERVICES_SPIKE had been orphaned nowhere).Deliberately not cut: any invariant, limit, path, env pointer, or decision; the 0049 layering rule; class-C history (~40 items) went to the docs that own it.
One judgment call to flag: the verbatim
dshemergency command is no longer in the file (recoverable via git history / docs/0045). If you want it back verbatim for the app-is-down case, say so in the merge and I'll restore it as a follow-up.Same structure, same bullet order, same rules. What changed: - Every bullet states the CURRENT contract; fix-history narratives ("0037 run-5 fix…", "was 500/2,000", "observed live in this sandbox…") compressed to the numbered doc pointer that owns them. - Stale facts deleted: the machines tombstone shrinks to its 2-line state (0048 made the purge total), dead env-var/live-check trivia and packaging war stories moved to their docs. - The Environment section keeps every operational rule (deploy-checkout discipline, the shared node_modules trap, WORKFLOW_TARGET_WORLD) but drops the verbatim emergency command — git history + docs/0045 own it. - New header line states the file's contract: bullets are current state, docs/NNNN own history and why. Deliberately NOT cut: any invariant, limit, path, or Chad-decision recorded in a bullet; the 0049 layering rule; every MUST/NEVER.
